The Olympic torch relay in Beijing entered the second day Thursday, with a morning start at the Badaling section of the Great Wall in Yanqing District.
After the Yanqing leg, the flame will travel through Changping, Huairou, Miyun, Pinggu, Shunyi and Tongzhou districts today, concluding in the afternoon at the Altar of the Earth, or Ditan, in Dongcheng District.
268 torch bearers will take part in the relay, which stretches 14.5 kilometers in length.
The Beijing leg of the torch relay will last three days, until the Olympic Games opening ceremony on Friday. It will tour around the last five districts, Fangshan, Mentougou, Daxing, Haidian and the economic development zone, tomorrow and arrive at the Bird's Nest Stadium in the afternoon.
The opening ceremony will commence at 8:08 p.m. tomorrow.
